A few days ago, Ningbo Customs District seized 2400 sewing machines that might have infringed upon the intellectual property rights hold by Shanghai Shanggong & Butterfly Sewing Machine Co., Ltd., a famous Chinese sewing machine maker. Customs officers said the items seized, which were valued at RMB 354,000, had a butterfly image quite similar to that of the right holder. This is the fifth consignment of counterfeit Butterfly sewing machine that Ningbo Customs District has netted in the month.
