As the first regional Customs to adopt the unified clearance management system for cross-border e-commerce, Guangzhou Customs will have the system upgraded this year to explore new models such as “cross-border warehouse + direct-purchase import”, “global cross-border e-commerce distribution center” and “cross-border e-commerce + new retail in physical stores” to promote the sound growth of cross-border e-commerce.
Since Guangzhou became a pilot city for cross-border e-commerce in 2013, the cross-border e-commerce volume in Guangzhou has ranked top of China for four consecutive years. In 2017, Guangzhou Customs handled 220 million declarations of cross-border e-commerce goods, with nearly 800 kinds of goods sold to more than 180 countries and regions. Now, Guangzhou Customs is supporting the establishment of “Nansha Bonded Port Zone + Baiyun Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone” industrial cluster district so as to build Guangzhou City into the cross-border e-commerce center of China.
