Guangzhou Customs District recently sent veteran officers to the equestrian venue located in Conghua City at which 18 race horses for the Asian Games equestrian test event from Hong Kong were released efficiently.

Before, understanding that these valuable horses are special partners of the athletes and knowing that they need expeditious services to go through the especially complicated Customs formalities for animals, Guangzhou Customs District enhanced the coordination with the Games organizing committee and worked more closely with the relevant port authorities to solve the problems that may occur. Based on the drills held before, Customs officers developed two clearance models respectively for road and air transport for the horses under which standardized proceedings written in manuals would be followed by the frontier officers to ensure a smooth and efficient clearance for the horses and related materials.
