Officers of Jiangyin Customs House (affiliated to Nanjing Customs District) said they had seized 33 sets of roller bearing which were suspected of infringing upon the trademark rights of “NTN”, when exercising control over a consignment of export vessel replacement parts declared by a company. The items seized were valued at USD 13,860, said Customs officers.
After getting the confirmation of the right holder (NTN Corporation), Customs officers detained the infringing products and set up the investigation on March 27. This is the first infringement case that Jiangying Customs House has broken since the start of the national anti-smuggling camping codenamed “National Shield”.
The investigation was continuing, said Customs officers.
