Officers of Jinjiang Customs Office stationed by Quanzhou Customs House said they had noticed the anomalies when examining the declaration form of a consignment of export “rubber shoe sloes” that day. When opening the container, they found the goods loaded inside were actually sandals carrying the trademarks of “Havaianas” and “Abercrombie”. The goods, which were later confirmed by the right holders as infringe ones, included 6120 pairs of “ Havaianas” sandals, 4800 pairs of Abercrombie sandals and 450 “Wilson” tennis rackets.
