Recently, Xiamen Customs seized 16.16 tons of - leather leftovers inbound as “foreign trash”. The Customs officers found that those declared “cowhide leather” were only strips of red-brown and yellow-brown leftovers, without full regular cowhide, which were finally identified by professional agency as solid waste banned by the state from import. Now this case is under further investigation.
