Customs officers inspect the import logs.

Recently, Taicang Customs House in Nanjing Customs District intercepted two harmful bacteria of Ceriporia Lacerata and Phanerochaete on a batch of import logs from Russia; later, this case was confirmed by Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine to be the first of such interception in China.

Both of the bacteria can infect trees to decay them and make timber unusable.
