Recent years, China has seen annually increasing demand and supply in its soybean industry. This July, in northeast China, Dandong Lingang Group and Jiusan Oil & Grain Industries Group jointly re-started a soybean processing project called “Old Northeast Farm”, involving the production line of processing 3,000 tons of soybeans per day. This project is expected to activate relevant industries upstream and downstream in Dandong, Liaoning Province and even the entire northeast region.  

Since the launch of the project, Dalian Customs has been in support of soybean import. As per enterprise demands, the Customs makes field surveys to understand business status and guide clearance processes with anti-epidemic measures. Regarding massive bean pulp from processed soybeans, the Customs helps domestic sale of the pulp as animal feed. To facilitate soybean import, the Customs opens a fast track with immediate inspection and release upon arrival.  

At present, the “Old Northeast Farm” project is in trial production at the annual capacity of one million-ton soybeans worth 4 billion yuan.
