Dalian Customs Ensures Bonded Aviation-Fuel Supply to Foreign Airlines
06/11/2019

Customs officers inspect the international flight.

On May 26, China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited (CNAF) officially opened its aviation-fuel export bonded depot at Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport, marking the availability of bonded aviation fuel to foreign airlines at Dalian Airport.

Bonded aviation-fuel business, as a special opening-up policy of China, is intended to supply tax-free fuel to the airplanes of international flights as per international practices. Before that, foreign airlines had to provide fuel for their own planes and their planes had to carry more fuel and fewer passengers or goods.

Through the bonded business, the cost of 1-ton fuel can be reduced by 15%, thus helping increase airline capacity at lower operation cost and improve the capacity of Dalian Airport as the air-transport hub in Northeast Asia.

From now on, Dalian Customs District will safeguard the bonded aviation-fuel business, ensuring high efficiency in clearance, so as to optimize local business climate.
