10/09/2015

The summer Davos Forum 2015, also known as Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2015, was held in Dalian City from September 9 to 11. By September 10, supplies for the Meeting, worth USD 2.3 million, were brought in under the control by Dalian Customs District. Having served Davos Forum for five times, the Customs strived to make all participants feel at home in its control and services. Reportedly, the number of inward and outward participants reached 1,400 person-time, including 104 person-time of political VIPs and their entourage, as well as involving 75 flights and 28 business aircrafts.

Dalian Airport Customs House(affiliated to Dalian Customs District) opened a special clearance channel for this Meeting, combined with emergency plans, by setting up multilingual, multifunctional, electronic bulletin boards on clearance spot; getting personnel to help guests fill out declaration forms; conducting 24-hour clearance for involved inward flights; increasing control/service points at VIP areas and parking aprons, where full-time officers exercised control beside business aircrafts and private planes, thus convenient for VIPs to finish their clearance procedure ASAP; utilizing mobile service car equipped with X-ray machine and radiation detectors to monitor and control the luggage, goods, vehicles in a non-intrusive way, thus ensuring both clearance speediness and entry-exit compliances. Moreover, the Airport Customs strengthened personnel trainings in procession, foreign-language communication, discipline and etiquette.

Under Three Mutuals(Mutual recognition of controls, Mutual assistance of enforcement, Mutual exchange of information) framework, the Customs cooperated with other inspectors to offer efficient one-stop services, including the Forum-dedicated service window, preferential release, 24-hour reservation service, inspection on the Meeting site, etc.
