Shanghai Customs Online Clears First Exhibits for the 3rd CIIE
10/11/2020

Shanghai Customs sets special service counter for CIIE.

On September 28, Shanghai Customs online cleared a batch of “Estee Lauder” hair-care and skin-care products from abroad as the first imported exhibits for the third China International Import Expo (CIIE).

As part of anti-epidemic efforts, Shanghai Customs has set up a special service counter for the CIIE with paperless expedite processes, through which the first inbound exhibits were cleared without delay. Notably, it was the first time in China that paperless clearance was piloted for inbound exhibits. In this way, exhibitors can upload electronic documents on the “Single Window” platform without paper submission while the Customs can online examine the e-documents and approve the entry, so as to streamline and speed up the clearance process.

Many foreign enterprises like Estee Lauder are zealous to show their products in the CIIE. Estee Lauder reveals that, with strong confidence in the Chinese market, they will make further efforts in the exhibition, such as expanding their exhibition area by 50% than before.

At present, the preparations for the third CIIE are underway in order.
