On September 5, Dongxing Customs House in Nanning Customs District intercepted a serious smuggling of giant clams that belong to China’s first-grade protected animals. At the site, the anti-smuggling officers seized 26 giant clams, totaling one million Yuan worth, and also seized 170.9 kilograms of thorn fish skins and 70 kilograms of chrismatite, with 2 smuggling suspects and 2 smuggling vehicles detained for criminal investigation.
