China Customs Attends WCO Webinar on Operation STOP

On October 6, China Customs attended the World Customs Organization (WCO) Webinar on Operation STOP, during which the outcome of Operation STOP was presented, Members’experience of participation shared, and next-step of the combat against cross-border movement of illicit medical supplies discussed. China Customs shared with Members its actions and outcome, and made suggestions based on the features of the operation.


Operation STOP was an urgent joint enforcement operation launched by the WCO from May through July, 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the operation is to coordinate Member Customs, relevant international organizations and the private sector for effectively stopping the movement of counterfeit, illicit and sub-standard medicines and medical supplies.
