Guangzhou Customs Helps Export Cinnamon Abroad from Luoding
04/03/2021

Recently in Guangzhou Customs District, 78 tons of cinnamon (worth USD180,000) were exported abroad under the control of Luoding Customs House.

Cinnamon and bamboo steamer are special agricultural exports from the west of Guangdong Province, where Luoding Haoliang Spices Company Ltd. produces “Luoding Cinnamon” as a product of national geographical indication and exports the cinnamon to South Asia, Middle East and African countries.

In support of local special exports, Luoding Customs House provides “one-stop” clearance services. Since 2020, under the pandemic impact, the Customs House has been actively helping the local producers in a door-to-door manner to solve their export orders, utilize AEO recognition policies and localize customs declaration. It also carries out the remote-control model of “Smart Customs”, conducting “online inspection” to minimize clearance time and maximize clearance efficiency.

With the exports booming in 2021, Luoding Customs House cleared 44 batches of cinnamon and bamboo steamers abroad, weighing 591 tons and worth USD1.88 million, during January and February.
