On October 23, Director General (DG) of the Department of International Cooperation (DIC) of GACC met with Mr. NANAZAWA Jun, new Minister Counselor of Japanese Embassy in Beijing, via video link.

Both sides jointly reviewed the development of China-Japan bilateral relations and economic and trade cooperation, and positively evaluated the achievements of China-Japan customs and inspection-quarantine cooperation. They also reached consensus on enhancing communication and coordination between the DIC and the Embassy, so as to promote the imports and exports of more safe and high-quality food and agricultural products between the two countries.

Deputy DG Hu Lan, representatives from the Bureau of Import and Export Food Safety, and others from the DIC also attended the meeting.
