Recently, Shantou Customs seized 24 azaleas carrying with soil in a postal parcel from Japan, which were falsely declared as “handicrafts for interior decoration”. In accordance with Catalogue of Animals, Plants，Animal and Plant Products and Other Quarantine Objects Prohibited from being Carried or Posted into China, propagating plant materials and soil are both banned from entry.
