Minister Ni Yuefeng meets with Mr. Oystein Bormer, Director General of Customs of Norway.

From May 20 to 22, Minister Ni Yuefeng visited Norway.

Minister Ni Yuefeng had bilateral talks with Mr. Harald T. Nesvik, Minister of Fisheries of Norway,  Mr. Harald Gjein, Director General of NFSA, and Mr. Oystein Bormer, Director General of Customs of Norway respectively, and met with Ms Olaug V. Bollestad, Minister of Agriculture and Food of Norway.

During the talks with Mr. Harald T. Nesvik and Mr. Harald Gjein, the two sides exchanged views on such topics as Norwegian feed fish oil, fish meal, Atlantic salmon and adding aquatic products to China, and signed the Protocol on the Inspection and Quarantine and Health Requirements of Norwegian Atlantic Salmon between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Norway, and the Protocol on the quarantine and hygiene requirements for non-human consumption of aquatic animals such as fish oil and fishmeal in Norway between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.

During the talks with Mr. Oystein Bormer, the two sides exchanged views on a number of topics, including establishing a bilateral cooperation mechanism between China and Norway, conducting AEO cooperation, promoting the China-Norway Free Trade Agreement negotiations, deepening the fight against smuggling and conducting trade facilitation cooperation and exchanges.

During the meeting with Ms Olaug V. Bollestad, the two sides exchanged views on issues such as the export of Norwegian dairy products, pork and other agricultural products and strengthening Sino-Norwegian food safety cooperation, and jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Import and Export Food Safety Cooperation between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Kingdom of Norway.

During the visit, Minister Ni Yuefeng had a meeting with Dong Fengming, the temporary representative of Chinese Embassy in Norway, and also paid a visit to Norwegian Big Farm, Norwegian Marine Research Institute, breeding and processing factories of salmon.
