Customs seizure of a whole tiger skin
Recently, Gongbei Customs District and Nanning Customs District jointly cracked a smuggling case of endangered species, busting 7 smuggling rings, capturing 40 criminal suspects, and seizing over 300 pieces of endangered animal products including elephant tusks, whole tiger skins, rhino horns, lion bones, bear paws, and a langur carcass, with the value more than 80 million yuan.
Through preliminary investigation, it was found out that the rings smuggled those endangered animal products from Vietnam into China by means of passenger concealment and bypassing customs areas and then they sold the smuggled products to end customers by post.
Now, this case is under further investigation.
