Beijing Customs Serves “Beijing Expo 2019” Clearance
02/11/2019

Customs officers inspect the inbound exhibits for Beijing Expo 2019.

On January 4, at the site of the “International Horticultural Exhibition 2019, Beijing, China” (shortly as “Beijing Expo 2019”), Beijing Customs District began inspection and quarantine over the inbound exhibits, of which the first arrival included pottery basins, bamboo baskets, wooden beds and Thai pavilions from Thailand, totaling nearly 100 tons in 8 TEU containers and 322 cartons.

By paying close attention to ensuring the exhibition, Beijing Customs made relevant work plans in advance in terms of public health security, animal and plant security, and quality security; kept in touch with the import agents to master the arrival of goods; as per GACC’s epidemic notice and quarantine experience, intensified the control over the imports from the countries or regions of special concern; opened a green channel for exhibit declaration, providing such facilitating measures as 24-hour inspection reservation.

So far, the “Beijing Expo 2019” has begun to display the foreign exhibits. Beijing Customs will continue to enhance its clearance efficiency and emergency treatment over the inbound exhibits to come up.
