07/12/2016

On June 28, Qingdao Customs announced that recently 1,513 pieces of exported shoes and bags were detained suspected of infringement on the exclusive trademarks CHANEL, LOUIS VUITTON, NIKE, PRADA and GUCCI.

On May 5, a company declared to Yantai Customs (affiliated to Qingdao Customs District) to export casual shoes, purses and wallets. By cargo inspection, customs officers found out brand characters and patterns distinctly printed on the goods and their labels. Through identification by the brand owners, those 1,513 pieces of goods all infringed on intellectual property rights and thus were detained by the Customs for investigation.
