Nanjing Customs Seizes Class-I Protected Siamese Crocodile Skins

On November 21, in Nanjing Customs District, when inspecting an international ship coming from Thailand, Customs officers found two full crocodile skins within an inward sailors luggage. Through examination by the Judicial Appraisal Center of the State Forestry Bureau , the seized skins are the type of Siamese crocodile, which is enlisted in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and one of the class-I protected animals in China.
