Guangzhou Nansha Bay International Boat Show “Yacht CN 2015” was held at Nansha Marina from October 15 to October 18. Nansha Customs House (affiliated to Guangzhou Customs District) facilitated the boat show by means of “aquatic bonded warehouse” and exercised control over 4 incoming/outgoing boats worth over 10 million yuan.

Kang Chengji, General Manager of Nansha Marina, said: “the Customs greatly supported our boat show by means of bonded warehouse, speeding up our logistics without cash security pay.”

The Customs House also strengthened its liaison and cooperation with government agencies and other inspection agencies, with designated personnel in close communications with Nansha Marina, to provide policy advisory services and clearance convenience.

This session of boat show is both the fourth international boat show held in Nansha and the first one after the establishment of Nansha Site of the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone. The boat show will give full play to the advantages of the FTZ and the radiation of Hong Kong SAR, attracting more overseas manufacturers/agents of branded yachts/sailboats to Nansha, to promote the development of yachting tourism there.

The 2,800m2 aquatic bonded warehouse, approved by the Customs this January, can simultaneously berth 16 boats of up-to-100ft length to meet enterprises’ needs for storage of big yachts. The bonded warehousing can greatly cut the costs for logistics and fund occupation to effectively relieve business operating pressure and thus facilitate the development of yacht industry.
