Mr. Zhang Guangzhi, the spokesman of the General Administration of Customs said Customs administrations throughout the country, following the guidelines drawn up at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, would intensify efforts on cracking down the smuggling of agricultural products, drugs and smuggling activities in key areas. What’s more, working with local governments and relevant departments, Customs officers will spare no efforts to fight against the smuggling along the border areas through secret transportation and the circulation of smuggled goods. Through all these efforts, China Customs tries to stop with force all the smuggling activities that will be a threat to the national economic, political, cultural, social and biological safety and security.
