On August 22, Vice Minister Zou Zhiwu held bilateral talks with Kun Nhem, Director General of General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia in Beijing.

Both sides made positive comments on the Sino-Cambodian Customs cooperation that has been gaining momentum and achieved consensus on the following: to start negotiation of a Customs Mutual Administrative Assistance Agreement (CMAA) between the two sides; to work more closely together in areas of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation, rules of origin, trade statistics, enforcement, capacity building and application of non-intrusive inspection equipment.
