Minister Ni Yuefeng and Ms. Julia Kloeckner, German Minister of Food and Agriculture, sign the MOU.

On June 14, Minister Ni Yuefeng met with Mrs. Julia Kloeckner, Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture of Germany. Minister Ni and Minister Julia Kloeckner addressed in depth the topics such as Chinese bonsai exported to China, the EU’s cancellation of the certificate of drug residues attached to animal-derived food imported from China into EU, and the testing of child safety seats exported by Chinese enterprises to Germany. They also exchanged views on the issues such as quarantine access of poultry meat, pork, hatching egg, day-old chicks, apple, barley, wheat and other products exported from Germany to China.

After the meeting , Mr. Ni Yuefeng and Mrs. Julia Kloeckner jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Germany on Electronic Certification of Animal Products.

Dr. Clemens von Goetze, German ambassador to China, also attended the meeting.
