Ice Drugs Seized from Shoe Soles by Guangzhou Customs
11/05/2015

Recently, Guangzhou Customs officers seized 580 grams of ice drugs that were hidden in transit cargo.

On the very day of inspection, officers of Baiyun Airport Customs House (affiliated to Guangzhou Customs District) exercised cargo control with a sniffer dog. When inspecting an express carton, the dog attentively sniffed around the carton, wagging its tail.

The officers opened the carton and found scores of ordinary high-heeled shoes and sports shoes inside. But the sniffer dog got more excited and suddenly sat beside it. Then the officers immediately began to inspect each shoe by using an X-ray machine. The scanned images revealed something abnormal inside the soles of several pairs of sports shoes. With the insoles torn down, ice drugs wrapped by carbon paper finally came into sight.

Anti-smuggling police found smuggled ice drugs in shoe soles.
