On November 16, the 18th China Hi-Tech Fair was successfully opened in Shenzhen with about 3,000 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions. Shenzhen Customs prepared in advance and provided caring service: dispatching personnel to the Fair site, making a specific control plan, and offering “single window” service relating registration, declaration, inspection and taxation, etc. moreover, the Customs invited the exhibition operator to act as inspector, and reached a “Memorandum of Cooperation” with Shenzhen Convention Center to build regular follow-up and feedback mechanism, thus learning about exhibitors’ clearance requirements to optimize its control and services.
The exhibits on the Fair were directly transited from ports to the exhibition site. The exhibition arrangement was carried out at the same time as Customs inspection of exhibited goods, with average transaction time saved by 50% at least.
Customs officers were inspecting on the Fair site.
