Vice Minister Zou Zhiwu Attends the China-Russia-Mongolia Customs Cooperation Symposium

On June 14, Vice Minister Zou Zhiwu attended the China-Russia-Mongolia Customs Cooperation Symposium which forms part of the 4th China-Russia Exposition in the city of Harbin.

 

In his keynote speech, Zou mentioned that Customs Administrations of the three countries have made great progress in customs clearance cooperation, associated with the Belt and Road Initiative, construction of China-Russia-Mongolia Economic Corridor and the 3M cooperation mechanism (mutual exchange of information, mutual recognition of customs control and mutual assistance of enforcement). He put forward four proposals to enhance further pragmatic cooperation among the three Customs, promote trade facilitation, strengthen Customs and business partnership and upgrade Customs control efficiency.

 

Keynote speeches were also delivered by Ms. Jia Yumei, member of the CPC Standing Committee of Heilongjiang province, Mr. Strukov Andrey, Deputy Head of the Russian Customs, Mr. Yondon Bat-erdene, Deputy Director-General of the Mongolian Customs. This Symposium was themed on enhancement of Customs cooperation so as to promote construction of China-Russia-Mongolia Economic Corridor, which was attended by round 150 delegates from relevant departments of the three countries.

 

On the same day, Zou held bilateral talks and reached consensus respectively with Mr. Strukov Andrey, Deputy Head of the Russian Customs, and Mr. Yondon Bat-erdene, Deputy Director-General of the Mongolian Customs.
