Ningbo Customs Supports CEEC Expo with Upgraded Service
06/04/2018

The 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries Investment and Trade Expo (CEEC Expo) will be held in Ningbo International  Exhibition Center from June 7th to 11th. Since June 1st, Ningbo Customs has stationed officers in Customs control areas of the exhibition venue. Over the next few days, more than a thousand kinds of goods from 16 countries in central and eastern Europe will arrive and will be exhibited to the public after going through Customs inspection.

“This year, we have further upgraded our monitoring facilities at the on-site control areas and established independent but connected monitoring zones such as sensory room, sampling room, wood package isolation zone, inspection zone and equipment zone, so as to process the exhibits more effectively,” said Fan Jiankang, sectional chief of Yinzhou Office of Ningbo Customs District.

Considering the epidemic risk with inbound animal and plant products, at the declaration stage of exhibits, the Customs identified and eliminated the items likely from epidemic areas or under entry ban, forming a list of entry-banned articles. For wood-packaged exhibits, the Customs performed harm-elimination treatment and applied them special marks to prevent any entry that threatens biosecurity.
