The addax, an endangered species of antelope, is classified as a “CR” animal in the “IUCN Red List of Threatened Species” and also listed in Appendix Ⅰ of the “Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora” (CITES), so this animal and its products are all banned from entry and exit.

By unpacking inspection, the Customs officers seized the 11 suspected addax horns in the luggage. The passengers told that those horns were bought overseas by them to be made into musical instruments.
