Attentive Services Provided for Ceramic Works
11/06/2014

On October 9, Beilun Customs House (affiliated to Ningbo Customs District) opened a green channel and released a consignment of beautifully-made ceramic works. The consignment of goods, including 649 pieces of ceramic products of various shapes, were imported from Korea and to be presented at the 2014 China Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair.

“These pieces of ceramic works are fruits of the painstaking labor of Korean ceramic artists. Every piece is unique and delicate. Since the exhibition is just around the corner, our client worried that these “valuables” might not be able to make it to the exhibition”, said He Keke, a Customs broker from Ningbo Tianhang International Logistics Co., Ltd, the one who was taking care of the clearance of the ceramic products, “ceramic products are fragile, Ningbo Customs opened an exclusive green channel and designated Customs officers to check the information of the goods on the ATA carnet upon their arrival. Customs officers finished the relevant procedures very quickly. Customs services really bought us time!”

More than 800 exhibitors carrying with them fine ceramic works from all over the world will come to attend the 11th China Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair, which will be held from October 18 to 22 in Jingdezhen in Jiangxi Province. Knowing that the Ningbo Port is the important port of entry for the ceramic works for the fair, Ningbo Customs District adopted such facilitative measures as opening an exclusive Green Channel and providing consultation service on customs clearance for the imported ceramic products. Through these efforts, Customs officers try to build a “Green Bridge” connecting Jingdezhen Fair and port in Ningbo.
