Recently, by risk analysis, Shenzhen Customs at Shenzhen Bay port seized 76 gold bars of the same size weighing 76kg from within 12 outward passengers' pockets of trousers or skirts. Averagely each (of 5 Hong Kong passengers and 7 mainland passengers) carried 6-7 hidden bars.
Later, Guangdong Jewelry Test Center identified those gold bars as AU999.9 pure gold, worth RMB21 million. Now the case has been under investigation by the anti-smuggling department.
