Vice Minister Li Guo met with Mr. Christian Bock, Director General of Federal Customs Administration of Switzerland in Beijing on August 9, 2017.

Both sides made positive comments on the bilateral relationship, economic cooperation and customs partnership, and exchanged views on a wide range of issues including increasing connectivity by engaging in the Belt and Road initiative, implementing China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement, deepening AEO mutual recognition cooperation, improving customs oversight on cross-border e-commerce and capacity building.

After the meeting, they signed the Cooperation Agreement on Capacity Building between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Federal Customs Administration of Switzerland.

Ms. Michaela Schaerer, Deputy Director General of Federal Customs Administration, together with the Minister Counselor of the Swiss Embassy in China also attended the meeting.
