Anti-smuggling officers count the smuggled goods after the seizure.

Recently, Qingdao Customs and Dalian Customs made a joint operation against the smuggling by individual passengers on the shipping route between China and South Korea. A total of over 70 anti-smuggling officers busted 4 smuggling rings, captured 8 criminal suspects, and seized more than 20,000 pieces of smuggled cosmetics that were worth 8 million Yuan in total.

Through investigation, the involved 4 rings have engaged for long in smuggling inward South Korean cosmetics, wristwatches, bags and suitcases with such brands as LAMER, HERA and TF by means of individual passengers as buying agents. The smuggled cosmetics, without legal certification of origin and quality, are harmful to the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
