On November 17, Vice Minister SUN Yibiao met with Mr. Frank van Diepenbeek, Deputy Director General of Dutch Customs in Beijing. After analyzing the China-EU and China-Dutch economic situations, Vice Minister SUN spoke highly of the pragmatic cooperation between the two Customs and put forward four proposals on furthering cooperation. Firstly, to plan and implement the 2015 technical cooperation plan, focusing on such key areas as trade facilitation, Single Window, Paperless Clearance, radiation detection and risk management. Secondly, to upgrade the cooperation by working out the text of a strategy cooperation framework. Thirdly, to expand the cooperation by including more ports and enterprises in the twinning Customs cooperation program. Fourthly, to participate in China-EU Customs cooperation and take the leading role in the cooperation on China-EU Smart and Secure Trade Lanes, combating fraud, waste control and intellectual property rights protection.
