On Nov. 2, Minister Yu Guangzhou of the GACC attended the 20th meeting of the China-Russia Prime Ministers’ Regular Meeting Committee.
On behalf of the Customs Cooperation Sub-committee, Minister Yu Guangzhou delivered a speech to the Committee. He briefed on the new positive outcomes of bilateral cooperation on customs and port matters, including Customs service oriented to the national strategies of both countries, promotion of trade security and facilitation, and development of port collaboration. He also put forward five proposals of cooperation: proactively support cooperation on bilateral key projects by identifying priorities and objectives, increase customs connectivity by promoting facilitation of customs clearance, enhance enforcement by joint operation, upgrade customs clearance efficiency by enhancing cooperation at ports of crossing borders, strengthen cooperation on multilateral and regional matters by coordinating bilateral positions and mutual concerns.
