On August 4th 2022, DG ZHANG Baofeng held a video meeting with outgoing Portuguese Ambassador to China José Augusto Duarte. DG Zhang spoke highly of José Augusto Duarte's efforts during his tenure to promote China-Portugal cooperation in customs inspection and quarantine. José Augusto Duarte thanked GACC for its support and assistance in customs clearance of medical supplies exported to Portugal during the COVID-19 pandemic. Both sides also exchanged views on topics of common concerns.
