On December 15, Minister Yu Guangzhou met with Mr.Sultanov, Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan in Astana.
The two sides spoke highly of China-Kazakhstan cooperation of Customs and ports, had an in-depth exchange of views and reached broad consensus on the situation of bilateral economic and trade development and the deepening of Customs and port cooperation.
Minister Yu put forward a four-point proposal for intensifying the cooperation. Firstly, to promote the bilateral economic and trade development and push forward the clearance facilitation cooperation in the two countries’ key cooperation programs, such as energy trade, large-scale equipments and infrastructure construction. Secondly, to cooperate in the building of the Silk Road Economic Belt, innovate the cooperation mode, and simplify the clearance procedure to improve connectivity between the two sides. Thirdly, to strengthen cooperation in customs control to realize the mutual recognition of control, mutual assistance of enforcement and mutual exchange of information. Fourthly, to carry out trade statistics cooperation, analyse the cause of the data difference and reflect the authentic situation of trade.

Chairman, and Mr.G. Amrin, Vice Chairman of the Commission of National Revenue
of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan in Astana.
