On March 24, Zhengzhou Customs transferred 488 pieces of confiscated endangered wild animal and plant products to the Wuhan Office of the Endangered Species Import and Export Management Office under the State Forestry Administration.
From 2010 to 2015, Zhengzhou Customs has discovered and seized a total of 21 smuggling cases involving endangered animals and plants as well as their products. The transferred endangered animal and plant products included 2 ivories, 62 pieces of ivory bracelets, chopsticks and carvings, 2 crocodilian skulls, 16 pieces of crocodilian claw ornaments, 2 crocodilian leather wallets, 2.19kg pangolin scales, 26 pieces of butterfly specimens, 1 Carolinian box turtle shell, 381 pieces of sandalwood, and 1 piece of ramin wood.
