Shanghai Customs expedites the clearance of the inbound parrots.
On February 27, an airplane with a number of colorful parrots arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. These beautiful animals imported by Huzhou City Zoo from Suriname in South America include Blue-and-Yellow Macaws, Red-and-Green Macaws, and Black-headed Caiques. In total, 78 parrots worth 22,000 US dollars. Pudong International Airport Customs House, a subordinate office of Shanghai Customs District, immediately exercised field control over the parrots at the apron upon their arrival.
Working in close coordination with the air cargo station and other agencies, the Airport Customs ensured that all the logistical steps were arrangedseamlessly. After verifying relevant documents, the Customs officers prioritized the release for the vehicle carrying the parrots,, expediting the entry clearance with quality service.
