Mr. Hu Wei, Vice Minister of GACC, visited Finland from September 17 to 19.

Vice Minister Hu met with Mr. Jari Leppa, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Food Department of Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and held a bilateral meeting with Ms. HUSU-Kallio Jaana, Permanent Secretary of Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Both parties exchanged views on import and export food safety cooperation, market access for Finnish agri-food and enterprise registration, and signed a bilateral memorandum and protocol. He had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Hannu M?kinen, Director General of Finland Customs and Mr. Jarkko Saksa, ylijohtaja, Deputy Director General of Finland Customs, and reached consensus on strengthening cooperation in anti-smuggling as well as education and training.

During his stay, Vice Minister Hu also met with Mr. Chen Li, Chinese ambassador to Finland, and visited food safety laboratory in Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
