Qingdao Customs Facilitates Release of 7 South American Animals
06/24/2017

On June 14, Qingdao Customs-affiliated Liuting Airport Customs House expedited the clearance formalities for 7 special passengers.

The special passengers referred to 5 agouti pacas and 2 raccoons from South America, which arrived at Liuting Airport that day. Since higher safety and timeliness are required in live animal clearance, the Airport Customs learned in advance the transport and handling requirements from relevant business firm, and simplified the clearance process with direct pickup upon cargo arrival, so as to release the 7 animals in a safe and smooth way.

Customs officers were checking documents on site.
