On May 28, Vice Minister Hu Wei paid a visit to Mauritius Customs and held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Sudhamo Lal, Director General of Mauritius Customs Service.

The two sides comprehensively reviewed the fruitful results of Customs cooperation between China and Mauritius, and reached consensus on four points for further cooperation. Firstly, to establish a high-level visiting mechanism on a regular basis and a liaison mechanism. Secondly, to exchange experiences in application of container inspection equipment. Thirdly, to further capacity building cooperation through ways of the WCO China Customs Cooperation Fund, holding seminars, exchanging experts for training and so on. Fourthly, to actively participate in bilateral and multilateral joint enforcement operations proposed by each other, with a focus on cracking down on smuggling of drugs and endangered species.
