05/23/2018

Customs officers inspect the solid wastes returned abroad.

On May 15, under the control of Taicang Customs House subordinate to Nanjing Customs District, a batch of solid wastes, totaling 252.8 tons, were returned abroad from Taicang Port, Jiangsu Province.

These solid wastes, put in 10 containers, were imported from Japan by a Shanghai-based company that declared them as “low-density polyethylene recycled particles”. After sampling and testing, the Customs identified the goods to be scraps and leftovers of ethylene polymers that are among the solid wastes restricted in import.
