Zhanjiang Customs Helps Export Kaolin Clay from Maoming
05/20/2020

In Zhanjiang Customs District, a batch of 5,150 tons of kaolin clay was exported from the port of Maoming on April 25 through fast clearance, including field inspection and laboratory test, by local customs house.

The region of Maoming produces pure kaolin clay that is good in plasticity, fire resistance and used for making paper, ceramics and refractory materials.

Since this year, Maoming Customs House has taken many measures to support the business resumption of foreign trade enterprises. During the epidemic period, the Customs House provided emergency help in response to the enterprises’ demands and difficulties. At operational sites, a special counter and green lane is set up for importing natural gas, crude oil and other key products on the strength of third-party certification, test reports and self-declaration for quality and safety, to minimize the clearance time by working overtime. Additionally, the Customs keeps an around-the-clock service hotline to answer queries and give policy explanation; provides online services on the “internet + customs” platform, including paperless processing of enterprise registration and origin certification; upholds tariff guarantee insurance and financial company guarantee to expedite the clearance by releasing import and export before taxation.
