By the end of the year 2014, the value of goods cleared under the mode of Cross-border E-commerce (on trial basis) had surpassed RMB3.0 Billion, announced the General Administration of Customs a few days ago.
For export goods, by the end of December, 2014, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hangzhou,
Ningbo, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Suzhou, Qingdao, Jinhua,
Dongguan, Xi’an, Nanjing, Huludao and Yinchuan had
released 38.235 million of declarations of goods exported to 181 countries and regions,
with a value of RMB2.04 billion; for import goods, Shanghai, Chongqing,
Hangzhou, Ningbo, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen had released 4.11 million of
parcels, with a value of approximately RMB1.01 billion.
According to Mr. Zhang Guangzhi, the spokesman of the General Administration of
Customs, the General Administration of Customs, aiming at helping local
authorities out of the repeated constriction, developed a standardized export
clearance management system for Cross-border E-commerce (hereinafter referred
to as the “standardized system”)
and brought it into operation in Dongguan in Guangdong Province on July 1,
2014. Backed by the E-port system platform, the standardized system provides
accurate data and gives a clear reflection on the development tendency of
Cross-border E-commerce by connecting the e-commerce enterprises, logistics
enterprises and online payment service providers to the E-port system platform.
Zhang said the connection of the e-commerce enterprises to the standardized
system was gaining speed. At present, the data exchange is possible between
over 50 e-commerce enterprises ( for example, DinoDirect, IZP Technologies and
Aukey E-Business) and China E-port data center after the former has finished
the connection process with the latter.
Zhang also said the standardized system was now being popularized. At present, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenyang, Xi’an and Yinchuan Customs Districts have deployed the standardized system and started to provide services for the export goods. The deployment of the system by Dalian, Gongbei, Xiamen, Hefei, Changsha and Harbin Customs Districts are well under way.
