Lanzhou Customs District finished its first consignment of exporting bonded aviation kerosene on December 16 when 300 tons of such kerosene, made by Lanzhou Petrochemical Company, was transported by road from Lanzhou, Gansu Province to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Sichuan Province.
This export business means that, on the bonded basis, the aviation kerosene made from imported petroleum is delivered as re-export to an international airport and supplied for international flights. Such export business can give full play to the productivity of Gansu-based petroleum refineries, extend the industrial chain to the high end, and attract foreign direct flights to Lanzhou by reducing their cost, thus helping the open economic development in Gansu Province that’s a key node of the “Belt and Road”.
In support of this export project, Lanzhou Customs guided Lanzhou Petrochemical Company in its processing trade with the first 1,000 tons of crude oil imported from Kazakhstan, standardizing all operational procedures from oil processing till aviation kerosene delivery, and ensured the export completion within the expiring date of the Export Quota License.
Because Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is not eligible to supply bonded aviation kerosene for foreign flights, Lanzhou Customs turned to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Sichuan Province for the export implementation. Since the Company applied to the Customs, it took only 5 consecutive months to complete the entire export process.
