Minister Yu Guangzhou Holds Bilateral Talk with Director General of Mongolian Customs Administration

On July 10th, Minister Yu Guangzhou held a bilateral talk with Mr. Bold Tsengel, Director General of Mongolian Customs Administration in Ufa, Russia. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on information exchange, joint supervision and control, combating smuggling and border port cooperation.


Minister Yu pointed out that the two sides shall implement the consensus reached by the meeting of the heads of states of China, Mongolia and Russia, innovate Customs cooperation, work out specific cooperation measures to push forward the docking between the Silk Road Economic Belt, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Grassland Road development strategy, promote the construction of the Eurasian Transport Corridor and advance the regional connectivity.

 

Mr. Bold Tsengel agreed with Minister Yu and said Mongolian Customs will continue to strengthen cooperation with China Customs and fully support the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt. He also expressed his thanks to China Customs’ consistent support for Mongolian Customs officials’ education and training and the equipments of port supervision and control facilities.

 

The two sides reached consensus on the following issues. Firstly, to discuss the implementation of the Green Channel project in due time and make it, step by step, a key project of pragmatic cooperation between Customs of China, Mongolia and Russia, so as to provide trade facilitation for compliant enterprises. Secondly, to further improve the efficiency of port, enhance the port coordination and management, and regulate the charge at port, to reduce enterprises’ costs on Customs clearance. Thirdly, to designate officers responsible for the cooperation projects decided by leaders of both Customs, and carry out regularly the summary and appraisal to guarantee the steady advance of the projects.
