On March 12, Saturday, officers in Zhenjiang Customs House (affiliated to Nanjing Customs District) were still very busy at the third-phrase Dagang operation site. At 8:00 am, Wu Xudong and Wang Gang of the Customs Control Section got to the wharf after driving tens of kilometers and worked overtime to inspect and release the imported fertilizers.
This batch of potash fertilizers weighing 15,000 tons just arrived at the Dagang wharf. Now agricultural fertilizers are urgently needed for spring farming. So Wang Lei, in charge of customs clearance of Zhenjiang Changjia Logistics Company Limited, was very pleased with the clearance and said: “I'm relieved to see the officers working here. Thank the Customs for opening a twenty-four seven green channel for agricultural materials!”
The clearance of agricultural materials is required to be timely and efficient. Each year CNAMPGC imports about 100,000 tons of fertilizers via Zhenjiang and supplies the most of them to major agricultural provinces like Jiangsu, Anhui and Hubei. So Zhenjiang Customs opens a green channel for agricultural materials, pays close attention to fertilizer import by real-time contacts with port operators and cargo owners, and operates twenty-four seven clearance by reservation.
Customs officers were inspecting imported fertilizers aboard.
