China Customs Attends 54th Session of WCO Technical Committee on Customs Valuation

From 21 March to 5 May, 2022, the 54th Session of the Technical Committee on Customs Valuation of the World Customs Organization (WCO) was held in the format of online discussion, consultation and a hybrid meeting. China Customs participated actively in the discussion and provided valuable inputs on such matters as valuation treatment of ancillary charges in relation to Article 1 of the WTO Valuation Agreement and treatment applicable to goods subject to licensing contracts for distinctive signs, etc., which effectively advanced the agenda of the Committee and was well received by the participants. China Customs has been actively engaged in the work of the WCO Technical Committee on Customs Valuation by sharing valuable insights and best practices on Customs valuation. Currently, Ms. Lin Qianyu from China Customs is the Vice Chair of the Committee.
